The Dallas All Sports Association is a philanthropic organization founded in 1965 by Dallas businessman Field Scovell whose love of sports was only exceeded by his love of the Dallas community. In founding DASA, Scovell envisioned a special organization, philanthropic in nature, created to award recognition and scholarship grants to deserving individuals and other deserving group.

In 2008, DASA enters its 43rd year, renewed and committed to Field Scovell's vision to provide college scholarships for underprivileged kids who have already been accepted by a college or university, but who simply lack the financial support to attend. In many cases these kids have be orphaned or abandoned. Many were sent to live with older relatives or to be raised by foster parents, at Happy Hills Farm, or Buckner Children's home. A few came to the United States from other countries, not knowing the language, barely knowing a soul.
